The following U.S. service members died while supporting Operation
Enduring Freedom combat operations in Afghanistan, confirmed by the
Defense Department from December 10, 2010 through December 16, 2010:

Army Spc. Sean R. Cutsforth, 22, of Radford, Virginia; assigned to 3rd
Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st
Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

Marine Lance Cpl. Jose A. Hernandez, 19, of West Palm Beach, Florida;
assigned to 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II
Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

Army Pfc. Conrado D. Javier Jr., 19, of Marina, California; assigned to
the 3rd Squadron, 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment, Vilseck, Germany.

Marine Lance Cpl. Jose L. Maldonado, 21, of Mathis, Texas; assigned to 3rd
Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine
Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California.

Marine Cpl. Sean A. Osterman, 21, of Princeton, Minnesota; assigned to the
2nd Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary
Force, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

Marine Staff Sgt. Justin E. Schmalstieg, 28, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania;
assigned to the 1st Explosive Ordnance Disposal Company, 7th Engineer
Support Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics Group, I Marine Expeditionary
Force, Camp Pendleton, California.

Marine Cpl. Eric M. Torbert Jr., 25, of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; assigned
to the 1st Combat Engineer Battalion, 1st Marine Division, I Marine
Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California.
