Mega loads hearing moves to Lewiston on Monday

August 19, 2010, 2:28 pm

A Distric Court hearing regarding the mega loads and U.S. Highway 12 lawsuit has been rescheduled from Friday in Grangeville to Monday in Lewiston.

Kathy Johnson, the clerk for presiding Judge John Bradbury, said the hearing was moved to accommodate lawyers for the various parties, who will all be flying in for the hearing.

The lawsuit, filed Monday, seeks an injunction preventing ConocoPhilips from taking four oversized loads of oil refinery equipment from Lewiston to Montana along U.S. 12. Plaintiffs say the Idaho Transportation Department failed to follow its own rules in issuing travel permits for the trip.

Johnson said ConocoPhilips has filed to intervene in the case. Its lawyers will also be at Mondays hearing, which is scheduled for 11 a.m.

I have ONE QUESTION . . .

Does anybody know where the district court in Lewiston is located?
