I have read Dr. Jeff Masters' analysis of weather and climate issues
numerous times from his website ( http://www.wunderground.com/ ), so this
morning I was surprised to view him in person being interviewed on
"Democracy Now" by Amy Goodman (LINK TV on Directtv 375, 9410 Dish), on the
implications regarding anthropogenic climate warming of the catastrophic
flooding in Pakistan (UN describes this disaster as the worst in its
history: read here
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/pakistan/7935485/Pakistan-floods-disaster-is-the-worst-in-the-UNs-history.html
),
and the record heat wave and fires in Russia ("If the smoke were in the
United States, it would extend approximately from San Francisco to
Chicago" indicates NASA here:
http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/NaturalHazards/view.php?id=45046 ).

Masters appeared in suit and tie, and he was careful to word his responses
with the caveats that science requires.

The interview can be experiencing at the following website:

Meterologist: Record Heat Wave in Russia Could Kill Tens of Thousands

Wildfires across Russia. Devastating floods in Pakistan. Deadly landslides
and flash floods in India and China. Heat wave across the United States.
Severe drought in Niger. Taken together, scientists warn the events match
predictions for extreme climate events caused by global warming. This year
is on track to be the warmest since reliable temperature records began over
a century ago, mainly due to a buildup of greenhouse gases from fossil
fuels. We speak to Jeff Masters, co-founder and director of meteorology for
Weather Underground, a weather information website. [includes rush
