I wonder if illegal immigration into California has an overall positive or negative impact on the state's economy.  What value do the labor and skills of illegals add to the California economy as opposed to the costs?

This question is in response to the quote below and only intended to try to elicit facts/probabilities, not solve the very complex problem of illegal immigration.

Perhaps scholar/researcher Ron Force or some other careful researcher can find some data/opinions.
