10 PM was shortly after the game? I don't think so. I left the dome after
the game, and before dark. Got home, cooked dinner, etc. 10 PM is a good 5
hours or so after the game. Don't know if it was Snooze editorial or MPD,
but it's not correct.

UI football player Keo cited for battery
October 21, 2009, 5:27 pm

A University of Idaho football player has been cited for misdemeanor
battery after allegedly being involved in a fight Saturday night.

Shiloh Keo, a junior safety for the Vandals, was cited and released
Tuesday, Moscow Assistant Police Chief David Duke said.

Duke said the fight occurred at about 10 p.m. on West A Street in Moscow -
shortly after the Vandals defeated Hawaii.

He said a person walking in a parking lot exchanged words with people on a
nearby deck, and Keo and several other people allegedly "confronted the
individual, and the victim was struck in the face."

Duke said the fight was broken up and police began an investigation. Keo
was cited and released when he came in to the police department for an
interview Tuesday.

The investigation is completed, Duke said, and the case will be referred
to the city of Moscow prosecutor's office.

In a written statement sent to the Daily News by the UI Athletic
Department's media relations office, Vandals Coach Robb Akey said he is
"aware of the situation and am very disappointed that Shiloh made a poor
choice off the field.

"I have dealt with this situation with Shiloh and he will have to pay a
price. I am confident that he will learn from this situation. As well as
dealing with the repercussions within our program, he will also have to
make things right with the court of law."

Although I believe that Keo may have to sit out the next couple/few games
(and he will be sorely missed), it makes me feel good that Coach Akey has
not only set higher standards, he is enforcing them.

Seeya round town, Moscow.

Take pride, Vandals.
