The following U.S. service member died while supporting combat operations
in Iraq, confirmed by the Defense Department from October 9, 2009 through
October 15, 2009:

Army Pfc. Daniel J. Rivera, 22, of Rochester, New York; assigned to the
3rd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry
Division, Fort Hood, Texas.

Killed: 1; Wounded in action: 2

March 19, 2003 – October 15, 2009
Killed: 4,336; wounded in action: 31,537

in Afghanistan, confirmed by the Defense Department from October 9, 2009
through October 15, 2009:

Army Spc. Michael A. Dahl Jr., 23, of Moreno Valley, California; assigned
to 1st Battalion, 17th Infantry Regiment, 5th Stryker Brigade, 2nd
Infantry Division, Fort Lewis, Washington.

Army Spc. Jesus O. Flores, Jr., 28, of La Mirada, California; assigned to
the 569th Mobility Augmentation Company, 4th Engineer Battalion, Fort
Carson, Colorado.

Army Spc. Anthony G. Green, 28, of Matthews, North Carolina; assigned to
the 143rd Infantry Detachment, Austin, Texas.

Army Spc. Daniel C. Lawson, 33, of Deerfield Beach, Florida; assigned to
the 569th Mobility Augmentation Company, 4th Engineer Battalion, Fort
Carson, Colorado.

Army Sgt. Christopher M. Rudzinski, 28, of Rantoul, Illinois; assigned to
293rd Military Police Company, 385th Military Police Battalion, 16th
Military Police Brigade (Airborne), Fort Stewart, Georgia.

Army Staff Sgt. Chris N. Staats, 32, of Fredericksburg, Texas; assigned to
the 143rd Infantry Detachment, Austin, Texas.

Army Staff Sgt. Glen H. Stivison, Jr., 34, of Blairsville, Pennsylvania;
assigned to the 569th Mobility Augmentation Company, 4th Engineer
Battalion, Fort Carson, Colorado.

Army Pfc. Brandon M. Styer, 19, of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; assigned to
the 569th Mobility Augmentation Company, 4th Engineer Battalion, Fort
Carson, Colorado.
