Great article.

Beck, O'Reilly, Limbaugh, Hannity, et al are not wise pundits or sages, but clever, sleazy entertainers.  People enjoy, laugh at, get off on their acts, hence they get good TV audience numbers ratings, but like other entertainers like Mortimer Snerd, they are not taken very seriously except by a delusional few.  They are like long-time topless-bottomless dancers.  Many really enjoy their acts, but very few would want one as his/hers life mate.
