Break-in causes thousands in damage at UI Bookstore

The University of Idaho Bookstore sustained thousands of dollars in damage
in a Wednesday night burglary.

Bookstore Satellite Operations Coordinator Claudia Wohlfeil said in an
e-mail Thursday the suspect or suspects smashed a front window of the
store to gain entry shortly after 10 p.m., then broke a glass display case
in the computer department and stole merchandise from it.

Wohlfeil said she didn't have a dollar amount for the damage, but "it will
certainly be in the thousands," including the cost to replace the front
window.

Moscow Police are investigating the break-in, but police officials were
unavailable Thursday to provide further information.
