Matt,

You are not being truthful again.

You claim: "Since then Art and myself have deleted or cant find our private posts, but dont for one minute think I am lying."

Here is a copy of my post to you yesterday offering the entire archive of the Just Curious thread including our private conversation.

This thread (Just Curious) is archived only on my gmail account to which all my FSR email is POPed. There are at least 40 posts in it and all elements of the thread are intermixed. I can send you the whole thing but it is very lengthy and you will have to search through every post.

I assure you that I never mentioned any thing about an alcohol recovery program.

Is it possible that someone else mentioned this to you?

Matt, you did not take me up on this offer, but made the statement to V2020 cited above.

I again offer to forward the entire archived thread which includes our private posts to you so you can search for any statement that I made that even resembles: "he's is in and has been in an alcohol recovery program."

  All,

Due to my impatience and lack of computer skills I will try to post all my answers and opinions to just this response.

Feel free to call and have a beer or coffee with me though. I'm in the book.

For one my whole intention of this bickering is to have a fair and negative free election. I get tired of conservatives and democrats degrading themselves for political gain. It DOES happen both ways. I much rather have "Chaney is my vote for her ability to converse" approach. We are all neighbors worthy of opinions, regardless.

I Have not lied about anything. I am a marine. We don't take the easy way out. We get the job done. I have mistated for which I gave Art an apology for, but the man did say some negitive comments, whcih is why I addressed him privately. I don't feel that his(Weber) work or private life has anything to do with a mayor position.

These are the comments that sparked my motivation to post to Wayne privately:

"While eager researchers are at it, here's two other questions:

Why does John Weber not tell the voters that his current occupation is that of a bartender at The Corner Club?

Is he is elected mayor, will he enter rehab before he is sworn in?"

  W.

  and

  "Tom,

Doesn't the claim that Weber is employed as a bartender to "stay busy while hangin' with friends" strike you as more than a little far-fetched? Doesn't the claim that being retired (at his age, 62) but working as a bartender strike you as a contradiction?

The claim is made that Weber owned a couple of businesses. There is no mention of how successful those businesses were (and with good reason).

If the best Weber can do at his age is be a bartender at The Corner Club, is that what Moscow needs as a mayor?

Why doesn't one of Weber's more honest supporters on this list poll 10 of his long time friends to honestly reveal what they know about Weber's alcohol intake and such intake enabled behavior, and then report the results back here on V2020?

Weber was one of the Hawkins Five, whose scheme to sell water to a Washington entity would takes millions of dollars of sales revenue annually from Moscow businesses -- and cause the corresponding lost of tax revenue and charitable contributions to Moscow.

While this Hawkins scheme would benefit greatly a few wealthy Muscovites who have invested in the Hawkins project, it would be a loss to many Moscow businesses and to almost all Moscow/Latah County residents. Is this being "business friendly" or taking care of friends (maybe even for a gratuity of some kind [other than campaign contributions] at some time in the future)?

And Weber continues to lie about the Hawkins water sale, saying that the scheme would allow Moscow to control the amount of water drawn from the aquifer by Hawkins. Bullshit. If Hawkins needs more water than Moscow would have been willing to give, others like Whitman county stood ready to supply it from the same aquifer. Not to mention that the original agreement with Hawkins was void ab initio since it was clearly contrary to state law. And what about tht $30,000 to $60,000 of taxpayer's money that the Hawkins Five have wasted on this project to benefit a wealthy few? How does that benefit the vast majority of Moscow residents? Couldn't the Hawkins Five found a little more useful benficial to all project(s) to spend that money on?

  W.

  Wayne "

At this point I contacted Art and asked him to stop saying comments like these, Instead stick with "Webers voting record if he disagrees". Since then Art and myself have deleted or cant find our private posts, but dont for one minute think I am lying.

John Weber also had a quote in the DN, the day after election results, about how he feels that he may have lost the election to some rumors that he may have problem with alcohol and his bartending job. About the same time Greg Kimberling was on the viz answering questions for John(since he doesn't like computers).

Whats the reason for these comments?

On the same topic but different person, I have not distorted comments. Your comments are there for all to see. Radical is a strong word now a day. Could you imagine if I said the radical black movement.

Ok I have it off my chest.

  MD

  JFOR, Matt stop lying!

I have never made such an assertion.

Show V2020 anything that I asserted that even resembled "he's is in and has been in an alcohol recovery program". You are free to post all private correspondence between us on this subject.

I believe his words something to the effect of "he's is in and has been in an alcohol recovery program". He never said alki but thats the way most will take it. For that I apologize to Wayne.

I must have missed Art Deco's saying that Weber was an "alki," but if that happened, it's beyond regrettable and I hope Wayne apologizes . . .

One other thing. When someone brought up Weber's job as a bartender, I did write on the V that that was irrelevant. Maybe you have a better opinion of me if you stopped distorting what I say and stopped conveniently forgetting the posts I write that you agree with.

      Joe,

Exactly Joe, "what has anyone done on the left that you have complained about"?

To clarify when I stated negativity or mudslinging goes both ways, I was not just meaning around here. I believe our town has a wide variety of faces and opinions all worthy. But dont for one minute think that the good ol nasty mudslinging doesnt happen both ways.

      Ex.

Art deco claiming Weber is an alki and mentioning how he works at the club. How does he know? Is Art a drinking buddy? What is the purpose of stating he works at a bar. Answer: To BELITTLE

      Another one

A lady wrote an opinion piece in the daily news about two weeks ago mentioning how she won't vote for Weber or Brown because of "these" obnoxious signs around town. How all the money raised by the GMA is being wasted on signs. Low and behold the facts come out showing that Chaney has made more money along with Reese raising more than Weber. Also, Chaney having the samne size signs all throughout Moscow.

      Lastly for the night

      You

"This is why the radical right movement is such a joke. They promote
the view that government is out of touch and corrupt yet their
candidate for mayor needs a third party to communicate and their state
senator likes to circumvent the democratic process with last minute
      stunts, like this weekend's letter".

Along with referring to our city council as "joke radicals". Care to explain?

Your last page excuse, mentioning how you never said they are radicals, looks weird to me from the above statements.

Joe can you imagine if I said the radical left movement on this site. But then again I wouldn't do that. Just like I don't expect that from you.

      Take care

Give me a break! What exactly has anyone from the left done that I have complained about? Give ONE example? There is none.

Again, what IS radical if circumventing the Democratic process is not? And if you've been paying attention, it wasn't the first time. It is a regular occurence. What IS radical if having connections with a group on the Southern Poverty Law Center watch list is not?

So why not complain when the left does it Joe? Don't tell me they don't.

Both sides do and I don't agree with it. But, to label Gary as a radical, is a little far fetched in my opinion.

        Gotta work

          Matt,

He quoted the sitting mayor from a confidential letter leaked on Dale Courtney's website. At least that was the source according to his website when I checked it this morning.

He also quoted Nancy out of context. And he did it all while hiding his source. Why did he hide the source? Well one reason is that we'd figure out the quote was out of context. You guess the other reason.

I'm for information, not distortion. That's democracy for me. Give me the info and I'll decide. And when my guy resorts to this sort of crap, I tell him to hit the road.
