9:06 a.m.: Pullman man hospitalized after shooting

PULLMAN -- Lewis A. Lawrence, 20, of Moscow has been arrested in 
connection with a shotgun shooting early this morning during which a 22-
year-old Pullman man suffered non-life-threatening wounds to the face, 
police reported.

Pullman Police Commander Chris Tennant said no motive for the shooting has 
been established. He said the victim, who lived at the Providence Park 
apartment complex, answered a knock on his door shortly after midnight and 
someone fired the shotgun.

Lawrence was arrested later in Moscow without incident, Tennant said. He 
said a shotgun also was recovered by authorities. The victim remains in 
Pullman Regional Hospital.
