The Moscow City Council's goals for fiscal year 2010, which are to be
discussed at the next city council session on Monday, and which I
downloaded and conveniently placed at:

1) Develop and implement a plan for an industrial park.

2) Begin breaking ground for west Palouse River Drive ball fields.

3) In FY2010, budget $40,000 for affordable housing program fund, to be
added to any program carryover funds from FY2009.

4) Cooperate with interested parties to identify solutions to keep a
permanent ice rink in Moscow.

5) Expand fixed-route public transit services, including implementation
of a third route and weekend service.

6) Pursue planning for a City of Moscow Police station.

7) Conduct research and develop a plan for the implementation of a
professional paramedic program and bring recommendation to City Council.

8) Acquire right-of-way for roundabout at Mountain View & 6th Street.

9) Develop a long-range financial plan.

10) Establish sustainable water use “budget”.

11) Identify alternative water supply, focusing on surface water
detention, including site survey, soils testing and feasibility.

Whatcha think, Visionaires?

Are these goals realistic?

Or, much like my boyhood images of Barbara Eden in a harem outfit, Barbara
Feldon in a short skirt and tank top, and Diana Rigg in a leather
catsuit . . . just another list of fantasies?

Seeya round town, Moscow.
