You got to hand it to GMAer's and Walter Steed. Their friends control our state and are willing to guarantee selling Idaho's water to out-of-state developers as well.

Who cares about Idaho businesses who are going to have to compete with this predatory development. As long as we grow at any cost. Who cares about losing tax revenue when we have a mall twice the size of the Palouse Empire Mall to spend our money at right next door. At least Hawkins will be paying Moscow to take their sewage!

It's unfortunate, though, that this water is limited, and crucial for our well being. Too bad all this prime farmland is being eaten up.

Do we really need more stores to sell more foreign goods reliant on a pollution-driven transportation system, just for more stuff? Do we really want to lose control of Idaho's water rights to other states, and lose more farm land to boot?

I really hope sensible heads in Idaho's senate will realize that this law would allow Idaho from ceasing selling water to out-of-state users only if those users don't pay their bill once an agreement is signed. In other words, Moscow would have to sell water to Hawkins forever unless Hawkins doesn't pay. That doesn't seem to be standing for Idahoans, merely for those who are going to be making the money.
