[Vision2020] The strange case of Dan Noble

Hi Roger,

I don't know him, either, but I know of him. In my quest to understand why
& how the UI decided to sell employees the pig-in-a-poke health insurance
scheme, I researched everything I could find going back years & years,
including meeting minutes. Since Mr. Noble was the chair of the Staff
Affairs Committee at one time, I came across his name and he certainly
seemed very dedicated to do his very best, an attribute that in most
employment settings would serve him well. In recent years with the various
scandals -- financial & otherwise -- condoned by top UI administrators, I
can't help but wonder if that very attribute was unwelcome by some in his
work environment.

Thanks for sharing your wife's impressions -- based on what I know, I would
agree with her.

Very sad, indeed, and I hope some sense can be made of this tragedy, both
for Mr. Noble and for his victims.

I do not know him personally, but my wife has worked with him. She says he
is a nice guy and is very dedicated and an extremely hard worker. She
thinks he does more work than Baker and Mues put together. It is really sad
when a guy of his caliber has this kind of a problem. Lets all hope that the
Psych. evaluation comes up with with an answer.
Roger
