Well done, University Housing. One would guess that maintaining the quarters
collection service, the VandalCard system programming and electronics, and
answering student questions about how it all works, or doesn't, would cost
more than just doing without the financial laundering in the first place. So,
it's a win-win-win situation, with the University saving overhead dollars,
the students not having the cost or the hassle of token payments for clothes
laundering, and local businesses and banks not having to maintain extra rolls
of quarters in cash registers and business safes to satisfy requests for
laundry tokens.
