Two arrested after alleged group fight

Two people were arrested early Saturday morning after an apartment party
turned into a consensual group fight.

"There's a congregation of individuals over on Hawthorne (Drive) that like
to have parties," Moscow Assistant Police Chief David Duke said. "I think
they have a party and then they go outside to engage in their activities."

He said the "activities" typically refer to a consensual outdoor group fight.

Duke said the group was uncooperative Saturday morning, which led to a
20-year-old Moscow man being cited for minor in consumption, and later
arrested for disturbing the peace and obstructing officers.

A 17-year-old Moscow teenager also was arrested for resisting and
obstructing officers, minor in possession of alcohol and minor in
possession of tobacco.

The same group was involved in another incident at the same Hawthorne
Drive apartment early in the morning of Aug. 9.

A caller reported about 20 subjects fighting in a parking lot on
Hawthorne. A 20-year-old female was cited for minor in possession after
that incident.
