Bill,


The "party line" that will come back is that the planes, pilots,  
fuel,training, etc etc would be paid any way, so why not get the PR of  
an air show and let the sheep see
what they're paying for!

Every branch of service has demonstration groups and it costs  
millions!  Hell, every time George HW Bush goes sky diving, he does it  
with the Army Sky diving team and that costs a
bundle!
