Betsy,

Perhaps you misunderstood me today in the Public Works/Finance Committee
meeting. While I said that it was much easier to navigate an ambulance
-- with its large box and higher center of gravity, even at the posted
speed limit -- down a street where cars are not parked, I also said that
I could see benefit to leaving some parking on part of sixth street. I
also agreed with you on opening up "sight triangles" at intersections.

I appreciate your point of view, and appreciated all the points you made
today. I don't appreciate being selectively quoted out of context.

Yours as well,
DC

Dear Dan,

Which is more important...the occasional need of an ambulance for speed,
or
the safety of the multudes
of citizens who must or wish to cross 6th st on a daily basis? 20
neighborhood residents attended this
meeting to oppose the removal of parking from 6th street...did anyone
hear
anything we said? Do citizens
matter?

Yours,

Betsy Dickow
