Moscow School Board candidates file
Aleisa Barber and Sandra Pinel of Moscow have filed for candidacy for the
Zone 2 school board position vacated by Jennifer Watts.
Only incumbent Margaret Dibble has filed candidacy for the Zone 5
position, though the write-in period will remain open until May 5. Zone 5
will not come up for election if no other candidate is written in, and
Dibble will remain in her position on the board.
Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. May 19 in the board room of the
school district office, 650 N. Cleveland St. Absentee ballots also must be
returned to the clerk of the school board by 8 p.m.
Zone 2 encompasses an area of east Moscow, including the neighborhoods
around Lena Whitmore Elementary School, East City Park and south of
McDonald Elementary School.
Zone 5 wraps around west Moscow except an area surrounding the University
of Idaho to the south. It encompasses West A Street neighborhoods and
extends north past Viola.

"So keep fightin' for freedom and justice, beloveds, but don't forget to
have fun doin' it. Lord, let your laughter ring forth. Be outrageous,
ridicule the fraidy-cats, rejoice in all the oddities that freedom can
produce. And when you get through kickin' ass and celebratin' the sheer
joy of a good fight, be sure to tell those who come after how much fun it
was."
