Sixth Street Parking

 

Moscow, Idaho - The City of Moscow temporarily restricted parking on
Sixth Street between Logan Street and Blaine Street during this past
winter to allow appropriate snow removal.  The placement of the no
parking signs was successful in that it did allow the snow plow crews to
properly clear this roadway.

 

Parking on Sixth Street has been an issue considered in the past by the
City of Moscow Transportation Commission, City Police and County
Sheriff's Departments regarding safety and emergency response
operations.  The City's Public Works/Finance Committee will hold a
public meeting on April 27, 2009, at 4:30 p.m. as part of the regular
agenda for the Public Works/Finance Committee.  The meeting will be held
in Council Chambers located on the second floor of City Hall.  All
parties interested in this topic and the possibility of retaining or
removing parking from Sixth Street are invited to attend.  It is
anticipated that the Public Works/Finance Committee Chair will invite
testimony from all interested parties.  It is also anticipated that,
based upon the input received, the Committee will make a recommendation
to the full City Council regarding this matter.
