Greetings Visionaires
A while back (long before the birth of Moscow Cares), I presented a
challenge right here on the Viz.
I suggested and challenged anybody (and there are several of you), with
the musical skills and ability, to produce a song for Moscow.
Until recently I had absolutely no takers of this community challenge.
A couple weeks ago, an extremely generous Vision 2020 subscriber, who
wishes to remain nameless (hereafter referred to as The Lurker),
provided me a link to a virtual treasure trove of songs whose very theme
is Moscow, Idaho.
Initially (way back when . . . ) I was hoping (dreaming,
fantasizing, . . . whatever) for a song along the lines of maybe . . .
My Hometown by Aunt Bee of Andy of Mayberry fame
My home town is the greatest place I know,
Where the neighbors I find are gentle and kind,
And the living is easy and slow,
My hometown is the only place to be,
Here the worries are small, and the kids grow tall and healthy and
free,
It's my hometown, my hometown, Mayberry, Mayberry.
Or the hometown song for . . .
Fayetteville, North Carolina

But, sometimes youve simply got to play with the cards you were dealt.
So, although the selection of songs (17 in all) provided to me by The
Lurker may not create that warm, fuzzy Kumbaya moment that is so richly
inherent in those songs listed above, I leave the final choice up to you
fine people here on the Viz.
Browse the 17-song collection to make your selection to be the . . .

If you feel that you can do better than any one of these 17 Grammy Award
wannabes, give me a shout.
