I always post using gmail but I suspect any email server has similar
functions.  There is an "Edit Subjet" link in the active window that
normally carries the same subject query as the email which was opened.
  Perhaps your server is deleting the subject heading?  If so you
should be able to click on Edit Subject (or Subject) and type in the
topic of interest as the Subject.
