Despite how interested I am in various facets of the contemporary election 
cycle, I am not going to spend the time and effort to decipher the jumble of 
formatting in this message, however interesting it may be.

Messages forwarded by anyone from Microsoft Hotmail to this list usually 
contain this sort of formatting mess, and while it's not as bad as some HTML 
messages, it is sufficiently egregious that I, and I suspect many others, 
simply pass over it as too-difficult-to-read-quickly text, and move on, 
leaving the message unread.

So, here's a clue. If you would like your messages read by those to whom you 
send them, construct them so they arrive in an easy-to-read format.
