[Vision2020] Intoleristas (was Re: Who Dat?)

Dear Paul,

I understand what you're saying but there are a few parts of the puzzle that
are missing. You were "a little miffed" when punished for your comment about
Christ Church. You rarely say anything against them and your one
transgression was rebuffed strongly and quickly: 'Intoleresta' after just
one comment. You are surprised by this; you think it is an odd thing, a bit
of bad luck in need of explanation. That is funny.

I want to get together with you and some of my African and African-American
friends. I'll provide a handout with some of the subject lines to No
Weatherman's posts -- not the posts, just the subject lines -- and then you
explain to them how it is that you are able to talk to No Weatherman like he
is just another guy with a different point of view, the sort of point of
view that justifies the use of those words. Do you want me to remind you of
the subject lines? (You might want to check them out before answering.)

Some folks say things just to anger other people. That other people respond
in anger is not too surprising. There is no big mystery here.

Perhaps we should have lunch on a bet. I bet that by the end of the lunch I
will seem nothing like the person you think I am. It will have to be a
gentleman's bet, of course. But I'm willing to buy lunch anyway!

Best, Joe
