City of Moscow Hosts Commission Fair

 

Moscow, Idaho, November 13, 2008 - The City of Moscow will host its
annual Commission Fair and Recognition event at City Hall on November
20, 2008, from 7 to 9 p.m.

 

This event showcases the City's commissions and gives members of the
public an opportunity to learn about each commission and decide if
volunteering is right for them.

 

Booths will be set up at City Hall for citizens to visit with commission
members about their involvement with their respective commissions.  The
fair will also include the presentation of the annual "Service to
Commission Award" given by Mayor Nancy Chaney to three outstanding
commission volunteers.  

 

The City's commissions include the Arts Commission, Board of Adjustment,
Fair and Affordable Housing, Sustainable Environment, Historic
Preservation, Human Rights, Parks and Recreation, Paradise Path Task
Force, Planning and Zoning, Transportation and the Tree Commission.

 

Commitment and qualifications for each commission varies.  Moscow
residents are invited to learn specific details at the fair, or by
visiting http://www.ci.moscow.id.us/commissions/index.asp.
