Keeping the Ice Rink in MoscowVision 2020 members:

If you care about . . .
keeping the ice rink in Moscow,
  securing its long-term future,
improving it to a full-size facility that can be enclosed and used more hours per day and more days per year, in harmony with its neighbors and in ways that encourage economic development by increasing the quality of life in our community,
consider attending the meetings outlined by Tom Lamar in the message below. A meeting is scheduled this Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon in City Council Chambers. A shorter re-cap meeting is scheduled for this Wednesday evening at the 1912 Center from 6 p.m. to 7:30 pm.

Subject: Keeping the Ice Rink in Moscow

Hi,

I would like to invite you to an informational meeting on Wednesday, November 12th at Moscow City Hall Council Chambers together with other City, County and community leaders. Within the next three years, the people running the ice rink will need to determine where the permanent location of the ice rink will be. As Moscow community leaders we have the opportunity to keep it here, or let it slip away.

At this meeting, we will hear some presentations by nationally recognized rink Architect, Eric Milberger of M2Architects, as well as Steven Peterson of the UI College of Business and Economics. We will discuss some ideas of keeping the rink in Moscow, and look at one example of locating it in the Legacy Crossing area. Please RSVP to me directly and if you are unable to attend, let me know if there is an alternate person from your organization or board who can attend.

Thank you,
Tom Lamar
