The following U.S. service members died while supporting combat operations in Afghanistan, confirmed by the Defense Department from July 18, 2008 through July 24, 2008:   
 
Army Spc. Seteria L. Brown, 22, of Orlando, Florida; assigned to the 62nd Engineer Battalion, 36th Engineer Brigade, Fort Hood Texas. 
 
Marine Pfc. Ivan I. Wilson, 22, of Clearlake, California; assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Twentynine Palms, California.
