At the conclusion of yesterday's Florida Republican Primary Election it
appears that there is some bad news for Ron Paul and his dozens of
supporters.

Ron Paul garnered a mere 3% of the vote, edging out Fred Thompson (who
terminated his campaign for the presidency over a week ago).

The good news?

Although Ron Paul had barely beaten out a non-cancdidate, at least his
opponent was alive, unlike encumbent Missouri Republican Senator John
Ashcroft, who lost in the 2000 election for US senator to the late
Governor Mel Carnahan.

My belated condolences to Mrs. Carnahan who went on to take her late
husband''s seat in the senate.

Maybe the people of Missouri were making a statement that the rest of the
country failed to comprehend as John Ashcroft was later appointed US
Attorney General.
