This is just flame bait! An insulting argument designed to spit in the face of all people that don't follow atheist beliefs.

It is your right not to believe in God. But to insult people, and treat them like they are stupid, just because they believe in God, commands no respect.

If any atheist with a brain, had any logic at all, read the Bible, they would KNOW that all human suffering is caused by people disobeying God and original sin, according to basic doctrine of most major religions. If you don't accept that, fine, but that is answer. Take it or leave it. But don't call people stupid trolls for their faith. That is just insulting, and totally disrepectful.

The idea, that God created people to TORTURE them and cause them misery is a contrived argument that is insulting, ignorant, and very insulting to Christians, or basic faith, they know that, that is why they do it. They enjoy insulting and attacking Christians, because they think we are idiots, beneath them.

If you want to make an argument, and get people's attention about your ideas that God doesn't exist, don't start by insulting believers by calling their God evil, cruel, the cause of all human surge, and assume they are all of lesser intellect than you.

Atheists don't believe God tortures people either, because they don't believe there is a God. So they are inherently pushing an argument they don't even believe in themselves and know lack any merit! They are simply doing it to be insulting, and to show a poor demonstration to themselves and other atheists how clever they think they are by bashing God, and not listening to the explanations being presented to their flawed argument.

The primary problem with many Atheists is they don't understand that faith in God is based on personal experience, and beliefs, as well and evidence presented to them by God himself. It is not based on arguments made based on speculation and conjecture.

I don't go around forcing my beliefs on people that choose not to believe in what I believe. And I expect the same the level of respect from people like Chas, Ralph, and this yahoo on the air.

I don't frankly, appreciate CHAS, in particular, poking fun of my faith. And if he doesn't believe in God, that is his problem. But if he is going to be insulting and disrespectful, to me and others that have a different personal belief and relationship with God, then I must honestly tell them go bug off and go be godless without involving me in his insulting and derogatory anti-religious behavior.

Has anyone actually gone to NPR and listened to the interview?

RALPH NIELSEN (Feb. 20)
Yesterday on NPR Fresh Air there
was an interview with Dr. Bart Ehrman about his latest book "God's
Problem: How the Bible Fails to Answer Our Most Important Question."

It deals with the age-old problem of theodicy: why is there
suffering in the world?

The web site is

Or go to , then to the "Top emailed stories," and click on
Bart Ehrman. You can download the interview or listen to it there.

The V2020 comments are interesting but you really must listen to Ehrman.
