I don't think we should use W. Bush as the marker of how good a president is. This is the United States, we need to have reasonable demands on a person. Obama should be at least as good as Clinton and Reagan. If not, he shouldn't be elected. It is going to take a remarkable person to fix the problems facing this country, any person better than Bush, just will not due at this point in time.

Please describe, Gary, why an Obama presidency would be a "horror show." Extra credit if you can do it without being snide.
Even if not measured against the current occupant we have in the Oval Office, Barack Obama would represent an enormous improvement in brainpower, heart, and backbone, one for which I'll enthusiastically campaign. Of course the next president will be compared to Bush, which will have the effect of further consigning Bush to the bottom of the heap of history's losers.
