[Vision2020] Any vinyl audiophiles out there?

I wish I could help you. Just for the curious, how much room does
17,467 albums take up of physical space? I was going to suggest ripping
them to your computer, but by my calculations (assuming that an album is
roughly equal to a CD in size) it would take over 10 terabytes of disk
space for the raw .wav files. Or about 1 terabyte for mp3 files. Not
completely out of the question (my computer right now has about a
terabyte of space), but that's a lot of time ripping albums to disk. On
the plus side, you could fit them all on two hard disks, for a total
physical space usage of about the size of two grilled cheese sandwiches.
It would also take somebody just under 4 1/2 years to listen to them
all, assuming 45 minutes an album and 8 hour days and no time off for
weekends or holidays.
