[Vision2020] google earth

Because Pullman is not of this Earth? It seems to be in a totally different
reality then the rest of the planet. Living in Moscow (well, just outside
and interacting mostly with Moscow) Pullman seems very foreign to me. Great
big university, tiny little town that doesn't even LIKE the university
(except their money), hates students, and consistently disrespects people of
color. Moscow is a tiny little town with a medium sized University, caters
to students, faculty and staff actually like living here, and the town is
open to diversity (mostly). WSU has a bazillion activities (concerts,
speakers, plays, brownbag discussions etc.) which only University employees
and students attend. The city provides not much except the Lentil Festival,
which relies on the University for both booths and atendees. U of I has less
activities (though still many) but the town also provides lots of
opportunity for interaction with others. Town and Gown are about as separate
as you can get in Pullman. In Moscow, it's pretty much the same pool of
fish....
This rant really has little to do with Google Earth, but perhaps Google
Earth has a something to do with the interest level of the folks in the area
being viewed...Pullman having nearly zero interest in anything not Pullman,
Moscow being interested in EVERYTHING.....
