Obama birth challenge back again

Back, like a trusty boomerang or an obnoxious rash. (Pick your metaphor.)

Folks who think Barack Obama isn't eligible to be president because they
don't think he has a valid his birth certificate are making one more try
to keep him from getting Washington state's votes.

Too late, you say? We voted a month ago, and the ballots are all counted?

True enough. But the state's Electors haven't yet cast their votes. That
happens on Dec. 15, in Olympia.

Or it will unless...

..a King County Superior Court judge issues an injunction based on a
lawsuit filed Thursday by 11 state residents who claim Obama hasn't
produced enough proof that he was born in the United States. Constitution
requires presidents to be natural born Americans.

They also claim he was adopted by his stepfather and had his name changed,
but there's no proof it was ever changed back after his mother and
stepfather divorced, so those votes cast for Obama go to someone who
doesn't really exist.

Some of this was tried -- unsuccessfully -- before the election. The
Secretary of State says it doesn't have the authority to investigate each
presidential candidate's qualifications and it can't take names off
ballots for these kinds of challenges. The courts agreed then.

Stay tuned to see if they have any better luck this time.
