  Not just insurance companies, but yes. Think about it, if Doctor's charged $10,000 for an operation, who could honestly pay that? Nobody. Doctors can charge whatever they wish as long as insurance companies will pay it, and people need the surgery. 
   
  Pharmaceutical companies do the same thing. Look around your doctor's office, they are full of calenders, pens, notepads, free drugs, etc. from pharmaceutical companies that pay of lawmakers and health care providers to push their drugs, then charge 2000%-3000% over cost for manufacture of their drug. They repatent them every few years so they continue to charge the outrageous prices. 
   
  Lawyers, politicians, lobbyists, insurance companies, doctors, medical specialists, bureaucrats, pharmaceutical companies, and medical equipment supplies are all exploiting vulnerable people for everything they have for services that cost them nominal resources because their clients have no other alternative but except the injustice. 
   
  I know blind people that can even see this abuse and corruption.
