Tom,

I saw two different men holding the sign this morning, and one of them is 
back now.  I wouldn't call it hate speech, and I certainly don't think it 
should be restricted, though I hope they stay out of the way of pedestrians 
trying to use the sidewalk.

Earlier on this listserve, I saw a comment describing criticism of GMA 
candidates over the aquifer as 'partisan politics at its worst.'  While I 
would still  save that description for the attacks on Max Cleland, for 
example, I think this sign is making a strong run for the title.
