I never liked novels. It bores me to read about other peoples lives. I didn't like reading until late elementary school when I found out about the US World Almanac from a friend of mine. I have owned every publication since then. I find the almanac less useful now then I did in the 80s and 90s because the Internet usually is fairly available and more informative. But I love those books. With the exception of the people, sports and agriculture sections, I could read it cover to cover.

Do you like green eggs and ham?
I do not like them, Sam I am.
Would you like them here or there?
I would not like them here or there.
I would not like them anywhere.

These days I don't have time to read books, but thoroughly enjoy http://netlibrary.com through the Latah County Library. Audiobooks are great for busy people, or people who have a hard time reading.

The title: Millions of Cats and the story goes: "Hundreds of cats, thousands of cats, millions and billions and trillions of cats. Cats here, cats there, cats and kittens everywhere." I'm sure it is no longer in print, but it was a wonderful book. This old couple decide to adopt one because they cannot take them all so they let the cats decide and the cats get in a fight and only one is left so the couple adopt it. I don't remember it as a violent book; although there was obviously a lot of cat mayhem and flying fur....

The Campus Advisory Board will win money for First Book and help deliver the magic of books to children if you follow this link to DONA'S VIDEO and watch. We've got 300 kids in Plummer, Whorley, and Moscow to buy books for so we'd appreciate it if you'd pass the word.

What is First Book? Campus Advisory Board (CAB) is an active committee of campus volunteers who carry out the mission of First Book and help deliver the magic of books to children. CABs energize students, faculty and staff to raise awareness and funds to provide book grants to existing literacy programs on campus and in their community that serve children from low-income families. First Book Campus Advisory Boards participate in fun and innovative fundraisers, First Book corporate partner events, and community events as literacy advocates.
