[Vision2020] Coulter's Dream - from CNN

These kinds of logical "Catch-22's" are one of the reasons I believe
that God's Word (assuming it ever existed) has been coopted by Man.
It's the perfect setup. Everyone must believe blindly, or they go to
Hell. If they question their faith, they are not on the good list
anymore and they go to Hell. If they sin and don't confess it, they go
to Hell. Hell is such an awful place, you can justify almost anything in
this world if it has the chance of bringing one more convert to Heaven.
This worked especially well a thousand years ago when few could read and
the priesthood had the power. How do you think the Pope got so powerful
back then?
Never mind if you come across something like evolution, for one example,
that seems to contradict the Bible if it's taken extremely literally.
Question your faith? Out the door.
Now, I don't know if there ever was a real God's Word, or how much of it
might have been changed, added to, or lost in the years right after
Jesus died when all the various sects were vying for the power to speak
with God's voice and were duly trashing all the books that contradicted
their core beliefs - but I doubt it would end up in such a manner that
men of power could benefit from it so easily.
