[Vision2020] School Levy Unfair to Poorer Students

DJA erronisouly states:

"Why is it too
much to ask that the MSD promise to allocate more funding so the kids that
cannot afford lunch get the same opportunities in a public education system
as kids that can afford to buy lunch
    everyday?"

Fact is that there are several programs in effect for public schools that allow low-middle income children to not only receive lunch but breakfast for free or low cost. Just go to the school and ask for the forms.

PCAS is NOT a charter school...it is part of the school system and they very greatly address the issues that kids face in a very up-front but low-keyed manner. That school SAVES children and their education. It gives opportunities to everyone that needs it. I mean EVERYONE!!!! no matter you income, "disability" or abilities...they give any child a chance that may fit better than the so-called "regular" system. And yes, they do address the vocational issues as well - in many ways.

The reason that "number" in the race game that DJA is playing here are off is simple - this town does not have the kind of population that would necessarily "dictate" greater numbers of minorities in the PCAS. Fact is, we a majority of whites and there is a majority of whites in the MHS. It just stands to reason therefore, that a majority of those attending PCAS are white. PCAS is NOT discriminatory in any way, shape or form either in ref to race, colour, creed, religion, sexual orientation, or "ability/disability". DJA, on the other hand....welll, let's just say his words speak for him.

It'd be nice if just ONCE DJA got something correct. Too much to ask, I suppose.

Now if you look at schools that the CC run - THERE's discriminatory actions for you. They won't even allow "disabled" kids into the door much less a "greater" number of minorities....as was pointed out in previous posts last year.

Charter schools are public schools, but they do not
receive local levy funds.

I believe that the current school levy
funding ignoring vocational students needs is highly discriminatory. If
you don't agree me, perhaps these statistics will change your mind.

It seems like it is a common pattern to
better fund those with the greatest advantage to began with. Why is it too
much to ask that the MSD promise to allocate more funding so the kids that
cannot afford lunch get the same opportunities in a public education system
as kids that can afford to buy lunch
    everyday?
