Apparently, Gabe Rench, a kirker male soldier and chief son-in-law lacky, wrote to the paper with his "win-win-win solution"
to the MSD funding problem.  Comments?




Vote 'no' for all the kids
 
Thanks to Moscow School District's favorite patron, Gerald Weitz, MSD is going to rerun the levy. I would like to propose a win-win-win solution to this whole matter; a solution that is fair and should make all sides happy.
 
In this happy solution MSD will get its money, the kids at MSD will benefit because obviously this levy is for the kids, and the MSD parents will have the wonderful feeling of accomplishment in paying for their own kids' tuition.
 
At first this might be a little difficult because people have no problem voting to spend other people's money, but remember this is a win-win-win solution.
 
OK, let's get to the solution. Why don't the parents, who actually send their kids to MSD, pay out of their own pockets the amount needed for the increase. As mentioned earlier, MSD would get its much-needed financial help; of course the kids would win. And the kids who attend Christian and home schooling institutions win because their parents will have more money to pay for their own kid's tuition and school needs just like the parents of MSD will be exercising when they willingly pay the levy increase out of their own pockets.
 
So, vote "no" - it is for all the kids.
 
Here are a couple of other things to consider:
 
Pay for your kids' own tuition;
 
This is a fair resolution considering roughly a 1,000 kids either attend Logos, Montrose, Palouse Hills Christian School, St. Mary's or are home schooled;
 
It is a hardship to pay for private education and then on top of that pay for MSD education;
 
Don't be a socialist;
 
Pay for your kids' own tuition.

BTW, Gabe - when are you going to purpose that only those who drive on the highways or use fire/police, etc. pay for those services?
