"Permanent" is in the eye of the beholder, Sunil.

I am certain that the military bases being constructed in Iraq are of a
temporary nature, no more than 60 . . . 70 . . . 80 years tops.

Besides, they'll need somebody to provide security for the ribbon-cutting
ceremony when they open the Baghdad Wal-Mart Super Center in 2085 (I
understand this to be one of Bush's "benchmarks").

And what about the permanent military bases?  Congress still isn't talking 
about them.  More evidence there isn't an exit plan, there's always been a 
plan to remain in Iraq.
