Moscow, we are feeling your pain and are praying for all those who are hurting. Our thoughts go out to the families of officer Lee Newbill, Paul Bauer, and Deputy Brannon Jordon. I have had many calls from family and friends to see if I know what happened because we used to live in Moscow. We attended the Presbyterian Church on Van Buren and remember that the AA used to meet there on Saturday nights at that time.

I would also like to commend Assistant Police Chief David Duke for not releasing the name of the shooter. I hope there is no picture of him available because it disturbs me to continually see the picture of the purp' splashed on the TV and in the newspaper in these kinds of incidents and give them 10 times more publicity than the victims. When Duncan was arrested in Coeur d'Alene I wanted to throw something through the TV every time the stations in Spokane had his picture on. Sometimes I think the news program directors are sick to continually show/glorify the criminal.

Things like this were never supposed to happen in Moscow, Idaho where everyone is friendly. Again I want to say are a class act in not revealing the name of the shooter.
