I have not read this bill in detail. It seams that there is some good in it and also some undesirable things. I think that a guest worker program is good. To require employers to verify that workers are legal is probably good. However green cards can be forged. Employers should not be penalized for hiring some one with a forged card, unless there is some way to tell that the card is forged. Granting amnesty to those who are here illegally s is a problem. This was done 15 to 20 years ago. What is to say that we wont have the same problem in another 15 to 20 years. Allowing people to come in to work and then go home is good. Allowing people to apply for citizenship who are here legally is fine. Granting citizenship to those that have broken the law is not.
