Excellent question, Sue.

 

Why aren't the Bush twins in uniform?

 

The likelihood of the twins ever serving a combat tour is extremely remote.

 

Basic training has been softened and weakened to the point where, if the
twins were to enlist, they would likely complete basic training through
correspondence.

 

I would assume the twins' first (and only) assignment would be to MDW
(Military District of Washington), the Pentagon.  Their duties, I would
further assume, would consist of photo ops (in uniform) with Daddy Dearest,
while living at home.

 

Heck.  This could be the start of a first for Fox News; a reality show.
"Twins Against Terror" starring Barbara and Jenna Bush, kind of a 21st
century sequel to "Charlie's Angels".  Fox News could cover from induction
through basic training through various photos ops, right up to their
discharge (the ending episode titled, "Mission Accomplished 2: The Sequel")

 

And once Daddy Dearest completes his stint in the White House the twins
could be reassigned duties on the Bush ranch.

 

Imagine the potential this would have on recruiting.
