[Vision2020] Our Troops

It is interesting to note that Abbie Hoffman and Eldridge Cleaver mellowed somewhat in later years. They are not the only examples of this phenomenon. About half of the original writers for National Review were former Communists that saw the light. David Horowitz and Peter Coiller were the editors of the radical left magazine , Ramparts in the 1960's. They were early supporters of The Black Panthers. The turing point for them was when the Panthers became involved with robbery and murder. The only one I can think of who moved in the other direction is David Brock.

> Oh please don't get me wrong, h. I harbor zero displeasure at your reading choices. While it's true that I'm no fan of Abbie Hoffman I wouldn't dream of interfering with anyone's choice of literature (also, happily, Hoffman won't be benefiting from your purchase in the form of royalties what with his being dead and all) I hope you enjoy your new reading material and am glad you shared some of your role models with us. It explains a lot.
