The following letter was submitted to the editor of the Moscow-Pullman daily

Editor -

My primary purpose in submitting this letter is to report glaring
discrepancies found in Dale Courtney's documentation linked by his article
of March 19, 2007, titled "HIS VIEW: School levy: Can't squeeze more out of
shrinking base".

I have examined several of Dale Courtney's on-line files referenced at the
bottom of his article concerning his argument against the 2007 school levy
(http://MoscowLevy.com/March2007.htm) and compared them to the on-line files
concerning his argument against the 2005 school levy
(http://MoscowLevy.com).

I was interested in finding results of recent research that he may have
conducted concerning what he claims to be "cold hard facts".

He not only is using the same data from 2005. He is using the same files.

The property tax information he cites, http://moscowlevy.com/waste.htm, is
almost five years old.

Documentation suggesting an "MSD, CQE, Trail Family Cartel" in 2004
(http://moscowlevy.com/cartel.htm)

Each of these (and many more) web pages within Mr. Courtney's 2007 Levy
website reflect a foot note stating "Last modified: 18 March 2007". This
strongly suggests that Mr. Courtney's intention is to validate his argument
with obsolete information.

Much of Mr. Courtney's data available on his site was researched and
provided by Jack Wenders, and is clearly marked as such. Mr. Wenders has
recently passed away. If Mr. Courtney is not capable of providing
up-to-date data, he should (at a minimum) omit research bearing Mr. Wenders'
name, if not for the purpose of contemporary accuracy, perhaps out of
respect for Mr. Wenders' family.

Initially I wasn't planning on disclosing these discrepancies until a later
date. However, the deeper I browsed the more it became evident that Mr.
Courtney has not conducted any valid research subsequent to March of 2005.
