Steven Stinger appeared in court today after Latah
County Prosecutor Bill Thompson charged him with
violating the terms and conditions of his probation.

During the arraignment, Judge Stegner cited a letter
written by Stinger’s therapist Dalton Lombard to the
court expressing concerns about Stinger’s
“self-admitted behavior,” which made Stinger a “very
high risk to re-offend,” according to Stegner, who set
bail at $25,000 and instructed Stinger to reappear
next Tuesday at 1:30 PM for a status conference in
open court.

Additionally, Judge Stegner prohibited Stinger from
returning to his former residence except to retrieve
his personal belongings and only in the presence of a
probation officer.
