Today (June 6, 2007) not only marks the 63rd anniversary of D-Day in Europe,
it serves as the 39th anniversary of the death of one of the finest
Americans to ever grace this planet. He was a common man that strongly
believed in common things. He was the most respected and most honorable
Attorney General our nation has ever had the privilege of holding that
office.

We can only dream of how great, how respected world-wide, and how much of a
beacon of human decency our nation would be had he been elected president in
1968.

Yet a single assassin took Bobby Kennedy's life on June 6th, 1968, ending
the dreams of so many millions of Americans, as Bobby joined those that went
before him . . .

"Has anybody here,
Seen my old friend John,
Can you tell me, where he's gone,
He freed a lotta people,
But it seems the good die young,
I just looked around,
And he's gone,

Has anybody here,
Seen my old friend Martin,
Can you tell me, where he's gone,
He freed a lotta people,
But it seems the good die young,
I just looked around,
And he's gone,

Didn't you love the things they stood for,
Didn't they try to find some good for you and me,
And we'll be free,
Someday soon it's gonna be one day,

Has anybody here,
Seen my old friend Bobby,
Can you tell me, where he's gone,
I thought I saw him walkin' up over the hill,
With Abraham, Martin and John."

"We must recognize the full human equality of all
our people - before God, before the law, and in the
councils of government. We must do this not
because it is economically advantageous - although
it is; not because the laws of God and man command
it - although they do command it; not because
people in other lands wish it so. We must do it for
the single and fundamental reason that it is the
right thing to do."

- Robert F. Kennedy
