Yeah, I'd have to say that Wayne blew this one, and big time.  While I 
didn't find it threatening, I did find it mean-spirited and mocking, and I 
would hope for better things from a smart guy in the future.

Some very sad news to report about Doug Farris:

A lesson to be learned from this dreadful incident, especially for
members of the cult which he lovingly but mindlessly belonged: The
ovine ought, at all times, be extremely wary of self-absorbed,
proficient, stealthy predators without conscience, else they suffer a
fate symbolically not unlike the naive, puerile Farris (R.I.P).
