MCA Schedules Forum on Survival of Local Bus Service

The Moscow Civic Association is sponsoring a free public forum at the 1912 Building at 7pm on Monday, February 26, about Moscow/Pullman public transportation issues, including the survival of the existing Wheatland Express bus service between the communities.

A six-person panel will discuss the issues and then respond to questions from the audience. The presentations will include the results of the recently-completed Moscow/Pullman bus ridership survey. The panelists include:

Wheatland Express owner Peg Motley;

Valley Transit CEO Tom LaPointe;

UI Director of NIATT (National Institute for Advanced Transportation Technology) Michael Kyte,

UI Vice-President of Finance and Administration Lloyd Mues;

Moscow City Supervisor Gary Riedner; and

Chair of the Moscow Transportation Commission Walter Steed.

The Moscow Civic Association is a non-profit citizen's organization that strives to improve the quality of life for Moscow residents. The mission of the Moscow Civic Association is to inform community members about important local issues and encourage civic participation.
