[Vision2020] Larry Craig

Exactly!

I have absolutely no reservations against an elected official that is openly
gay.

It is the hypocrisy of an elected official living a lie that burns me to no
end. Much like ex-mayor of Spokane Jim West, Senator Craig rode the
Republican meal cart with an agenda that violated his own nature. Both
ex-Mayor West and Senator Craig fought against gay rights and same-sex
marriage while living in their own closets.

On June 11, 2007 Senator Larry Craig was arrested for lewd conduct.

On August 8, 2007 Senator Larry Craig plead guilty to that charge.

And now (as Paul Rumelhart has reflected) Senator Larry Craig must pay the
piper.

Seeya round town, Moscow.

I have no problem with being represented by an openly gay senator.
However, I do wish he would have not voted so consistently against gay
rights, gay marriage, and stood so firmly for conservative values all
these years. His scandal is not so much his personal moral issues, but
a national embarrassment because of the hypocrisy involved.
