[Vision2020] Movies on HBO

For those of you with HBO, check out The Chumscrubber. I've been avoiding 
it for weeks because of the stupid name (in the film it refers to the main 
character in a video game). Black comedy at its best with a wonderful 
ensemble cast that includes Glenn Close and Ralph Fiennes.

Also playing is Thank You for Smoking. Likely most of you have seen this one 
but if you haven't, you should give it a look. I plan to show this one the next 
time I teach Philosophy in Film.

Warning: Neither of these are 'feel good' movies -- but they are both good!

Also, I can help but comment on the fruitless task of comparing Elvis Costello 
with Sly and the Family Stone. They are both great but very different! Let's 
put it this way, if either of them decided to play at my 50th birthday party (a 
year from this December), I'd be in heaven. Though likely Sly would need a walker!
